Sue Martin - The Second Season Garden

Susan Martin has had her hands in the dirt growing vegetables, fruit and flowers for over forty years. She is a bicoastal gardener, starting first in Massachusetts and for the last 33 years, here in Point Loma. She understands the rhythms of the seasons in New England and her native SoCal. Her best vegetable gardens are in the fall and winter, hence her talk on The Second Season Garden. In her blog, she writes about gardens, food, family, community and place in over 1700 posts since 2011. She admits to being a science nerd. Along with her talk, she will demonstrate some of her favorite garden hacks and share repurposed items useful in the garden.
