10:45 AM - Program - Garden Myths…The Rest of the Story Lecture and Presentation -
Our presenter, Dawn Standke, has been a University of California Master Gardener since 2005. In addition to debunking horticultural myths, Dawn likes to grow fruit, vegetables, and plants that attract birds and butterflies. • It's easy to find gardening advice online - but how much of it makes sense? Join us for some Horticultural Myth Busting where we will cover topics including: Can copper nails kill trees? Can I use pennies as a snail and slug repellant? Are bananas radioactive? Will adding gravel to the bottom of a container improve drainage? Should I use "wound-sealer" on trees? Can milkweed or Margaritas hurt me?
